Going home! |
I was scheduled to be induced on Wednesday, the 25th. Early Monday morning I woke up feeling something I thought could be early contractions. They stopped when I woke up to take a shower so I figured it was just Braxton Hicks. At about 3pm I started having more and they were getting closer together. I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to figure out if this was really something or if I was just having false labor. Finally, I told Justin to come home just in case. We tried going on a walk to see if they would stop... but they didn't. So at about 9:30pm we headed to the hospital and they were getting really close together on the way down. I got there at 10pm and told them I wasn't sure what was going on. They checked me and I was 4 1/2 centimeters so they said they were going to keep me. I was in so much pain at that point and I wanted the epidural so badly! Eventually they moved me to a delivery room and I finally got the epidural. They checked me right after that and I was already at a 9! So an hour later the doctor got to the hospital and after a few pushes I had her at 1am Tuesday morning. So... I went from thinking I was in false labor when I arrived at the hospital to having her three hours later. This was very unexpected but despite the fact that I would have preferred the epidural much sooner, I was so happy it went so quickly and so smoothly. We took her home from the hospital Wednesday morning.
We are so happy to have baby Nora here. She is so tiny and adorable. We are in love with our little girl!
Congrats Dana and Justin on another beautiful baby! I love the name Nora. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteShe is darling! I love her name, Dana. I think I've told you a million times that I love Sebastian's name too. For my next baby will you just name him/her for me? :)
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing!
That birth story sounds a lot like Hudson's. he was born 2 1/2 hours after getting to the hospital and the worst was when they wanted me to be completely still while they placed the epidural. That was practically impossible!
So happy for you guys!
Congrats! I am glad it went so quickly..you look great with your new little girl! Those epidurals just don't come soon enough, that's for sure. So excited to see pictures of Nora and Sebastian together. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats! She is a beautiful, just like her mama! Looking forward to seeing your fam this summer, you can send Seb over any time if you need a rest
ReplyDeleteHUGE CONGRATULATIONS to you and your family, Dana! We are soooo happy for you!!!
